Brooktree offers a wide variety of services to accommodate customers in all stages of riding. Full training and groom care is available for those who have a horse of their own. Individual lessons may also be scheduled. High quality lesson horses and partial leases are available for those who do not have a horse of their own.
Full Training Clients in full training receive up to three lessons per week and as many “training” rides for the horse as needed. Horses in full training also receive the benefit of having the care of their horse organized and managed. This includes, high quality supplemental feed for the horse, scheduling of veterinarian, farrier, chiropractor, or any other needs the horse may have. $715 per month* Groom Care Horses in groom care receive services 6 days per week (Sunday-Friday). Services include tacking up and untacking, turn outs, placing horse on the hot walker, lunging, feeding, watering, laundry service, and blanketing. Horses in groom care will also regularly have their legs, ears and muzzle clipped, and mane pulled. Tack up service is primarily for trainer rides. Groom care must be paid by the 5th of the month, or a late charge is incurred. $400 per month* *Rates above are per month. There are discounts due to rain, vacations or shows. Lessons Lessons are for customers that do not have a horse in training, or are hauling in for a lesson. $60: flat lesson/jumping below 2 foot $75: jumping up to 3 foot, and/or private lesson $125: jumping over 3 foot There are many high quality partial leases (2 or 3 days per week) available starting at $775/month. If a specific horse is requested for lessons, an additional $25-75 is added to the lesson price to reserve the horse. |
Horse Show Fees Training at horse shows is $75 per day at rated shows and $200/weekend at county shows. Grooming at horse shows is $75 per day at rated shows and $200/weekend at county shows. Additionally, clients are responsible for any costs accrued by the trainer and groom for lodging, gas, food and supplies. All of these fees are added up and divided evenly among the clients showing, and the bill will be given at end of the show. Commission & Sales There is a 10% commission added to the price of all horses being bought, sold or leased. If a horse is sold within the barn, the total commission is 15%. Each client is responsible for 7.5%. During horse shopping, the client is responsible for covering all travel expenses incurred. |
